With a high theoretical content, this course provides essential skills for assisting researchers on observation vessels and conducting field based scientific research, such as photo-ID and data collection. The training focuses on Azores’ great whales and gives applicants a deeper knowledge of whale biology, conservation and research. By the end of this course you will receive a Whale Researcher Assistant certificate issued by Conservation Diver NGO in partnership with Whale Project Azores (WPA).
