Princess Alice Bank is a submerged mountain that comes from a depth of more than 1000 m up to 32 m and is a world famous dive site for experienced divers.

Its remote location, 45 miles from Horta, the agglomeration of schools of manta rays, tuna fish, barracudas and jacks and visibilities above 30 m in the summer, makes this place one of the best dive sites in the world.

Our expeditions to Princess Alice Bank begin early in the morning, meeting at 6h. We take 3 hours to arrive and we start our first dive at 11h. After the first dive we have some lunch and you can snorkel with the mantas. The second dive starts at 13h30 and we return to Faial at 15h to arrive at 18h.

This dive site is very special and we need to plan the expedition in advanced. Usualy divers stay for at least one week diving closer to Faial and Pico and we decide the day of departure according to the weather forecast at the time. A minimum group of 5 divers is also necessary.

Recomended season: July, August and September.
